Summary

C’est assez dur de ce prononcer sur un seul et unique tome， mais je vais essayer de vous donnez mes premières impressions ！Ont se retrouve face a une jeune fille que son grand-père —qui clairement pourrait être son père vue les dessins et l’esprit du personnage— va unir de « force » à un clan Yakuza avec qui ils sont en guerre depuis des années。Cette adolescente —j’ai même pas réussit à retenir son prénom… 😮‍💨— est assez calme， réservée er studieuse ！ Cependant son départ pour Tokyo va boulversé C’est assez dur de ce prononcer sur un seul et unique tome， mais je vais essayer de vous donnez mes premières impressions ！Ont se retrouve face a une jeune fille que son grand-père —qui clairement pourrait être son père vue les dessins et l’esprit du personnage— va unir de « force » à un clan Yakuza avec qui ils sont en guerre depuis des années。Cette adolescente —j’ai même pas réussit à retenir son prénom… 😮‍💨— est assez calme， réservée er studieuse ！ Cependant son départ pour Tokyo va boulversé un peu l’univers dans le qu’elle elle évoluait。 Son « fiancé » est au premier abord le mec idéal ！ Calme， studieux， discipliné —mais il reste tout de même élevé par des Yakuza— cache un côté sombre que l’on découvre rapidement dans le manga。Au final， ce premier tome est vraiment introductif et nous donnes envie d’en savoir plus。 Car， soyons honnête， les événements qui se déroule ici donne envie ！ Je n’en dirais pas plus pour éviter le spoil， mais concrètement c’est très alléchant。Seul bémol à l’actif， je ne suis pas très fan du dessinateur， peut-être que c’est juste histoire de m’y habituer， je ne sais pas， c’est à voir dans les prochains épisodes ！ 。。。more

I have already read Haru’s Curse by Asuka Konishi which instantly became one of my favourite standalone manga。 I was so excited when I saw that her other title was getting translated into French， I couldn’t keep calm。The story is quite different from Haru’s Curse though， here we are following two yakuza families， the Somei and the Miyama which have been rivals for ages。 However， the arranged marriage between Yoshino and Kirishima， the grandchildren of the bosses of each clan， might change t I have already read Haru’s Curse by Asuka Konishi which instantly became one of my favourite standalone manga。 I was so excited when I saw that her other title was getting translated into French， I couldn’t keep calm。The story is quite different from Haru’s Curse though， here we are following two yakuza families， the Somei and the Miyama which have been rivals for ages。 However， the arranged marriage between Yoshino and Kirishima， the grandchildren of the bosses of each clan， might change things。 Of course， with yakuza involved it’s not your typical arranged marriage love story。 There are violence and weird things going on， so be aware and check trigger warnings if you are worried about something triggering you。If you go past the violence， there are some funny scenes as well。 I didn’t expect to actually laugh at some of them， but the comic relief works really well here and makes the manga less dense despite some of the scenes and dialogue。Regarding the characters， whether it’s Yoshino or Kirishima， they are different from the first impression we can have of them。 Yoshino seems sweet and innocent at first， but she is far from it。 I like that she doesn’t let herself down when she is facing a problem and she doesn’t ask for help to fix it。 The same thing goes for Kirishima， he seems sweet and innocent but even farther away from it。 He is a kind of masochist and feels pleasure whenever there is a fight or an upcoming conflict。 Moreover， he is an unreliable character， therefore it’s difficult to know his intention and what he has in his mind。 I have no idea what is going on in his head and where he wants things to head， but I’m loving it！！I also need to talk about the art style。 It has one of the best art styles I have seen lately。 The character's design and the tattoos！ Those are chef kiss and clearly a fan service， let’s be honest！ Everything is gorgeous。 。。。more

So， this is a really fun and intense story。 It revolves around the grandchildren of two major yakuza families - one from the Osaka region and one from Tokyo。 Until recently， they’ve been involved in a bloody feud。 But， an “arranged marriage” of sorts between the grandson and granddaughter of the families has brought a tentative truce to any hard feelings。 （Well， as much of a truce as could be expected under the circumstances。）When Somei Yoshino discovers the kind of violent man that Miyama Kiris So， this is a really fun and intense story。 It revolves around the grandchildren of two major yakuza families - one from the Osaka region and one from Tokyo。 Until recently， they’ve been involved in a bloody feud。 But， an “arranged marriage” of sorts between the grandson and granddaughter of the families has brought a tentative truce to any hard feelings。 （Well， as much of a truce as could be expected under the circumstances。）When Somei Yoshino discovers the kind of violent man that Miyama Kirishima is behind his kind mask， will she still honor the agreement？ When Kirishima discovers just how ruthless Yoshino can be when she aims to win， will he want her more or less than he already did？ With violence brewing on multiple fronts of the yakuza world， will either really have a choice when it comes to pairing up？This is shaping up to be such an intense but kind of romantic story？？？ Yoshino and Kirishima have such a dynamic， back-and-forth relationship， full of witty commentary and clever one-up-manship。 They’re evenly matched which is a really refreshing dynamic for a story like this。 Yoshino is not physically strong like Kirishima or the other yakuza men but she’s never portrayed as weak or pitiful。 She’s clearly self-possessed， and has her own strength and drive。 I’m actually hoping to see more development on Kirishima’s side。 He’s portrayed as this blood-thirsty， unapologetically brutish character， infatuated with Yoshino only， but I’m willing to bet there’s more to his desires。 More， I’m wondering if his emotional ineptitude will connect to his upbringing — being adopted into the yakuza at a young age rather than a direct descendant。But， overall I’m very into this whole concept。 So far， it’s well-executed and highly enjoyable and entertaining to read。 Great relationships， world-building， and conflicts so far！ Can’t wait for more！ Might be my fave new manga this year？？ 。。。more
